Job Purpose:

This position exits to support and assist the Engineering Manager to control and manage opencast and surface operations

Qualifications & Experience:

1. Minimum grade 12
2. Qualified Artisan
3. Minimum of 5 years’ opencast relevant experience
4. Good communication and people skills
5. Computer literate with Word and Excel
6. Valid driver's license

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure Safety standards are adhered to on site
2. Clear and declare area safe before next task
3. Control time and attendance – sign off reports daily
4. Maintain discipline on site
5. Monitor production and report site performance on a hourly basis.
6. Report all breakdowns immediately
7. Handle all working conditions amongst your sub-ordinates.
