Day Work Services (Plant Hire)
In addition to the core opencast mining operations, Isambane Mining provides flexible day work services to assist clients with a variety of operational tasks. These services are offered on an ad-hoc basis, using equipment from our opencast fleet. The day work services include, but are not limited to, the following:
Haul Road Construction and Maintenance
We provide plant and equipment for the construction, maintenance, and repair of haul roads, ensuring safe transportation of materials across the mine site. This includes:
- Excavators for digging and road preparation
- Dozers for grading and shaping roads
- Water trucks for dust suppression and compaction
- Graders for leveling and ensuring proper camber
Trench Maintenance and Construction
We offer equipment to maintain and construct trenches for drainage, water management, and other purposes. Our fleet includes:

- Water trucks and graders for further shaping and ensuring proper drainage
ROM Stockpile Maintenance
Ensuring the efficient management of ROM stockpiles is a crucial part of mining operations. Our services include:
- Dozers for reshaping and compacting stockpiles
- Excavators and loaders for moving and reorganizing material
- Water trucks for dust suppression
Dump Stockpile Management
We provide equipment for the management of waste dump stockpiles, ensuring proper shaping, compaction, and stability:

Material Handling and Movement
For the transportation of materials across the site, we offer plant hire services for moving waste, coal, and other materials. This includes:
