Earthmoving Mechanic

Area:

Middelburg

Job Purpose:

To Inspect, Service, Repair and Maintain Earthmoving equipment in a workshop environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Grade 12 or Equivalent
• Earthmoving Mechanic Trade test
• Minimal of 5 years’ experience in Opencast Mining Equipment
• Valid driver’s license
• Knowledge of MHSA
• Computer literacy

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and service of Earthmoving Equipment
• Perform Daily inspection, identify faults and report findings to G.E.S.
• Attend to equipment breakdowns promptly
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections and repairs
• Test drive machines to ensure that they run smoothly
